Certified Emissions Measurement and Reduction Scheme

The CEMARS (Certified Emissions Measurement and Reduction Scheme) standard is the world class standard adopted by Achilles for its carbonReduction programme. It is the worlds first internationally accredited greenhouse gas certification scheme to ISO 14065 and the only scheme in the UK able to provide certification to ISO 14064-1 as well as providing organisations affected by the CRC Energy Efficency Scheme with the Early Action Metric (providing reductions can be demonstrated).

Previously only the Carbon Trust Standard was recognised as counting towards the metric, which rewards organisations who voluntarily take steps to better manage their energy use before joining the CRC. Landmark Information Group is pleased to be associated with CEMARS, the first Carbon Trust Equivalent Scheme to be approved by the Environment Agency.
